- GST Rates on Affordable Homes will be cut to 1% from 8%
- GST Rates on Under - Construction Homes which does not come under Affordable Homes will be 5% which was 12% earlier
- Definition of affordable is changed to 90 sq mtr and 60 sq mtr for non-metro and metro with a capping of Rs 45 lakh for both.
- The new tax rates will come into effect from April 1, 2019
